Volkswagen enthusiasts and film fans of all ages will love the VW Festival, as for 2017 it’s a movie-themed extravaganza!
This year’s show runs from the 11th to the 13th of August and is being held at the stunning Harewood House in Leeds (LS17 9LG). Here’s all you need to know ahead of this year’s event.
VW Festival day tickets
Advance day tickets are available to buy online, or you can get day tickets on the gate, with tickets including access to Harewood’s grounds and Below Stairs of the House.
Over the weekend there will be many incredible vehicles on display including Movie Cars, Herbie-style Beetles and VW Beach-Buggies.
Retail therapy, VW style!
There will be plenty to buy at the show, with various trade stands, a Cars For Sale area and an Auto Jumble full of treasures.
Visitors also have the chance to win a Beetle that has been beautifully restored by ‘Herbie Hospital’ in the Cash 4 Kids charity raffle.
Theme for 2017 – ‘The Movies…’
Fancy dress is very much encouraged at this fun, family friendly event, so keep a look out for your favourite characters, perhaps in car form!
As well as showing off some spectacular cars, the show offers lots of other things to see and do, such as a live graffiti marquee where dubs are transformed into works of art before your very eyes.
Go for the cars, stay for the atmosphere
Show & Shine winners will be on parade just before raffle winners are announced
Live music and entertainment at this beautiful venue makes for a relaxed atmosphere, bringing in thousands of visitors every year since it all began in 2005.
Fun for all the family
Visitor numbers have been growing rapidly as the years go by – from 4,781 to over 20,000 in the space of 10 years – and it is now the largest family friendly VW show in the UK.
There will be a circus, a bike stunt display, Scalextric racing on a miniature Silverstone track, real penguins to watch in their own play area and much more.
