The first right-hand drive Mustang is set to make its debut at Goodwood this weekend.

Despite being launched in 1965, this is the first time Ford have opted to make a right-hand drive version of the classic.

Many buyers have already placed orders for the American favourite and the cars are expected to arrive towards the end of the year. You can read more about the Ford Mustang’s UK arrival here.

However, those heading to the Goodwood Revival this weekend will be able to get up close to one on Ford’s display stand without having to wait for the official shipment date.

As well as the Mustang, Ford will be celebrating its current concept car – the Ford Mondeo Vignale Hydrid – plus looking back at Ford family classics of the 1960s.

One of the highlights for Ford over the weekend is expected to be its role in a tribute to 1966 Le Mans winner and F1 driver Bruce McLaren – who won the 24-hour race in a GT40.

Ford recently confirmed it is returning to the Le Mans event with a new version of the GT to celebrate the car’s win 50 years ago.

The annual Goodwood Revival event is a must for fans of cars, with many visitors dressing up in various period costumes to match their vehicle – remember you must buy your ticket in advance as they are not available on the day.
