A German motoring publication has named Ferrari’s 458 Spider as its Best Imported Cabriolet of 2012.
According to the readership of Auto Motor und Sport, the Italian marque has a long history of designing some of the best convertibles in the world – a notion supported by the fact this is the 15th time a Ferrari has picked up this prestigious accolade.
The 458 Spider delivers some impressive performance statistics, including a top speed of 199 mph and a nought to 62 mph time of just 3.2 seconds.
Ferrari chief executive Amedeo Felisa picked up the prize at a gala awards ceremony put on by the publication in Stuttgart yesterday evening (January 24th).
Last month, Ferrari also released the first images of its new successor to the iconic Enzo.
The pictures highlighted the sleek design that will be a major focus of the new model, with the vehicle to feature a low roof line, bubble cockpit and hunched rear.
