Porsche will be setting up a unique pop-up store at Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd’s Bush in West London . The store combines multimedia and traditional forms of communication and features brand stories, virtual driving and design challenge in an experiential environment.

This idea had its debut in New York City, USA, in September. Titled The Sound of Porsche: Stories of the Brand, it was intended to deliver an interactive, multi-sensory brand experience.

Among the areas that visitors get to find out about are Porsche’s core, intelligent performance as well as Porsche’s principles of design and historic highlights. For the motorsports fans, there will be something on the marque’s achievements here, particularly how Porsche track success gets translated into technology for its production cars for the road.

Visitors to the pop-up store will be free to choose the areas that interest them most as they walk through what’s on offer.

Member of the executive board for sales and marketing at Porsche AG bernhard Maier said: “This new marketing format enables us to connect with young and young-at-heart visitors in an appealing way. We are helping people to better understand the brand through our fascinating stories.”

“This interactive brand experience enables visitors to explore the technical performance and stylish design of Porsche in depth. It is an innovative way of telling and experiencing the story of our brand.”

Stylised as though it was a record store, the Sound of Porsche presents a selection of digital films to visitors that look as though they are records. Each can be viewed on an individual screen.

There are three areas that make up the Sound of Porsche: The Sound Lab Virtual Drive Experience that is powered by Bose, The Media Station and The Design Corner. One visitor to the later will win a trip to Porsche Camp4 in Finland for an ice-driving experience.

On top of that, there is a coffee bar area that was furnished by Walter Knoll where visitors can go to relax.

The Sound of Porsche will be running for three weeks until December 18th.
