The show that will kick-start the season is upon us! With just a few days to go, Autosport International at the NEC, Birmingham, is set to be a packed event for the budding Motorsport enthusiast. With a number of halls representing different areas of the motorsport world and even a live action area, would you want to miss out?

At the very top of my list is Hall No.20, hosted by Coys Auction House, an array of classic cars will be on the books for people to bid on. The top of the list is a true VIP, fit enough for the Queen – Freddie Mercury’s Rolls Royce will be going up for auction and it is definitely a sight not to be missed. But there are also some classic motorsport legends going up for auction too; the 1952 Allard J2 which managed to finish in 2nd place at the Sebring in 1950 and also 1935 BMW Willis 328 which has a vast array of international competition history. Both very remarkable vehicles, and there are loads more that are on the auction list.

Hall No.6 will be celebrating cars and stars of the past, with leading names in the historic motorsport world displaying their stuff. Restoration companies will also be there showing the range of services they can provide to bring beaten cars back to life. Historic Car Clubs will also be present, friendly and knowledgeable people and also proud owners of some very immaculate vehicles. Don’t forget the Retailers who will be selling a selective variety of memorabilia and car parts. There will also be motorsport artwork and clothing available to buy on the day as a keepsake for the event.

The National Motorsport Area located in Hall No.7 is for those who are in the entry-level in the motorsport world. More specifically those who do any Circuit Racing, Rallying, Hill-climbing, Sprints, Trials and the Auto Test will find this hall of interest especially for those seeking to start out in the world of motorsport.

Finally to conclude, the show will also have the Live Action Arena, which is the UK’s largest indoor track and will be heaven for any petrol-head. The arena can seat 5,000 people, giving the fans an excellent experience at witnessing the motorsport world first hand. With the arena being enclosed the weather will not interrupt any of the plans for the days and also ensures that the smells and sounds stay close at hand.

Our friends over at Grove & Dean Motorsport Insurance will also be in attendance to offer any assistance for insurance quotations.
