When it comes to cars that make a visual statement, the Lamborghini Huracán is one of the best. However, the guys and gals at Lambo seems to think it could go even further and lo and behold, we have this: the SuperTrofeo Huracán EVO.
Unveiled during an exclusive event in Sant’Agata Bolognese, celebrating a new partnership between Lamborghini and Roger Dubuis watches, this very special Lambo builds on the already ridiculous standards of the previous model with entirely redesigned aerodynamics and improves safety with a new roof hatch device.
The team wanted to keep the same high downforce of the previous model, but achieve a more elevated overall aerodynamic efficiency to help it move forward with more stability.
This new body kit was developed by a team of motorsport engineers at Automobili Lamborghini, while that stunning livery you can see was designed by Lambo’s Centro Stile division. Its design celebrates the new partnership between Lamborghini Squadra Corse and luxury Swiss watch manufacturer Roger Dubuis, which will begin in 2018.
A statement from Lamborghini says they share the same values as Roger Dubuis, namely “the ongoing pursuit of excellence, the search for innovative materials, and obsessive attention to detail during the production of their precision instruments”.
Roger Dubuis has returned the favour by designing two watches inspired by the respective engines of the Huracán and Aventador S.
The SuperTrofeo Huracán EVO will make its official track debut in the spring of 2018 in three continental series of Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Europe, Asia and North America, where all cars lined up will have the EVO configuration.
The teams that have the current version of Huracán Super Trofeo will have the opportunity to purchase the aerodynamic body kit to upgrade the car to new specifications.
And if you fancy getting hold of a new Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO with its race-spec 5.2-litre V10 engine, it’ll set you back 235,000 Euros plus tax (£205,754).
