The fifth annual Brooklands Autumn Motorsport Festival is to take place next month and promises to set the pulses racing for lovers of classic performance vehicles.

Set to be held on Sunday October 14th at the historic venue, the festival will showcase an array of top motoring talent and showpiece cars for crowds.

Some of the highlights for the day will include the B190 Benetton Formula 1 car driven by Nelson Piquet to victory at Suzuka and Adelaide in the 1990 F1 World Championship, as well as a B193 Benetton raced by Michael Schumacher and Riccardo Patrese in 1993.

Other attractions on the day will be hill climb attempts on Brooklands' demanding 1:4 test hill, while visitors will also be treated to the spectacle of competition racing on the Mercedes-Benz World test track, situated adjacent to the Brooklands Museum.

Last year's event saw a host of highlights for performance vehicle enthusiasts, including the exhibition of a 24-litre aero-engined Napier Railton and ultra-rare 1992 Maserati Barchetta.
