There are four new 911 Carrera GTS models coming to the market. These include a Coupe and Cabriolet, both of which come in either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. All of these come in either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive configuration.

The new cars are powered by a flat-six power unit engine that is located at the rear. It can develop 430 hp, which is a 30 hp increase from the Carrera S. The engine is also combined with a Sport Chrono package, which has dynamic engine mounts, as well as a Porsche Active Suspension Management damper system that lowers the height of the car’s ride by ten millimetres.

Compared to the S models of the 911 Carrera, the new generation is now more efficient, quicker at accelerating and can achieve higher top speeds. Its combined fuel consumption figures are unchanged from the previous generation.

Porsche explained, as an example, that when the 911 Carrera GTS is combined with a double-clutch gearbox it can return 32.5 mpg and go from 0 to 62 mph in four seconds – 4.2 seconds in the case of the Cabriolet. Those who select the seven-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive will be able to achieve a top speed of 198 mph.

On the outside, Porsche has made the 911 Carrera GTS look very different from other GTS models. Each version has the 911 Carrera 4 body, which includes wide-flared rear wheel arches and a wider track. What’s more, the car has 20-inch diameter alloy wheels that have a centre-look mechanism and are finished in matte black.

At the nose of the car are bi-Xenon headlights and the addition of the Porsche Dynamic Lighting System.

On the rear engine lid is an air intake grille with bespoke GTS black trim strips and a black chrome-plated exhaust tailpipe. This standard sports exhaust delivers a unique GTS sound, so enthusiasts will be able to recognise the car before they see it.
