Koenigsegg appears to have reached its peak with its 2013 supercar release – the Agera R. Years of hard work have gone into producing this latest offering, which brings a combination of factors and additions that show the manufacturer is the brand to beat when it comes to manufacturing the perfect supercar.
The 2013 model offers the perfect driving experience, letting anyone who gets behind the wheel ultimate control through its sensitive handling. This is only achievable through the combined work of a number of innovative features.
Koenigsegg introduces the brand-new Aircore hollow carbon fiber wheels, upgraded power and enhanced aerodynamics in its latest supercar. The Agera R is built with speed in mind, capable of reaching an incredible 440 km/h (273mph).
It sees that people can’t wait to get behind the wheel of this brand new supercar with records being set and broken constantly. Some of the latest have seen the Agera R reach 300 km/h in 14.53 seconds, from standing and 200mph in 17.68 seconds.
A true diamond in the ruff, the Agera R is the roadster Hypercar that can offer customers a detachable and stowable hardtop. This gives drivers the best of both worlds and combines two of the most important factors in one incredible supercar.
However, the attractiveness of this model doesn’t stop there. It provides owners with a luxurious 120 litres of luggage space, demonstrating that the vehicle is the truly perfect car by combining an extreme level of performance with everyday usability. This allows drivers to seamlessly move from professional to private demands, without having to change their car.
The Agera R also delivers when it comes to ensuring that the customer is at the forefront of every car’s design. The model is available in either left or right-hand drive, meaning that it has mass appeal across the world.
This latest version of the Koenigsegg’s car brings all the much-loved features that have headlined previous vehicles from the manufacturers. However, the company also provides the driver with plenty of new innovative elements to enhance the performance of the vehicle and the overall experience for whoever is behind the wheel.
A number of examples are available of the firm’s ability to add new features to make the car reach the peak of its market when it comes to performance and visual appeal.
These brand new additions include; visible carbon on the front bonnet and bumper, new front side winglets, revolutionary Aircore carbon fiber wheels, new Aero exhaust, increased power and a raised RPM limit.
Koenigsegg was the first Hypercar manufacturer to take steps towards being environmentally-friendly too. Green technology was innovated by the company with the release of the biofuel CCXR in 2007 and it has continued this revolutionary stance with the release of the Agera R.
The model is based on the highly competitive original Agera, which follows the path carved out by the CCXR, as it also runs on E85 biofuel.
However, there are many differences that mark the Agera R out from its predecessors. It has an upgraded fuel and engine management system with enough flow capacity to generate 1140hp and 1200Nm of torque on E85 and E100 biofuel.
